The models of the GMW 01 and GMW 02 series are the optimal machines for squaring blocks and cutting thicknesses (4 cm and more) with high precision. They are produced in different solutions to meet all requirements: a Stationary single-wire machine, a Mobile single-wire machine on rails and a Two-wire machine (GMW 02), consisting of a stationary and a mobile part.

The tensioning of the wire is obtained by turning the arm on which one of the idle flywheels is fixed; the correct wire tension is controlled by adjusting the operating pressure of an oleopneumatic system that acts on the flywheel itself.

Down feed transmission system
The downward movement of the cut is obtained by vertically translating the sliders on the columns through linear guide systems composed of wheels and “C” shape guides.

The use of this solution allows to obtain fluid motions even at very low down feed speeds together with high rigidity and sliding precision.
The vertical motion of the sliders is generated by a chain system driven by a brushless motor. -

The wire rotates by means of four big flywheels with a diameter of 1200 mm each, of which only one is motorized.

Thickness automatic cut control
The single-wire Stationary, Mobile and Two-wire machines can be equipped with an automatic software for sequential multiple slab cutting. The operations are controlled by PLC, through which the desired slab thickness can also be set.

The GMW 01 single-wire machine in the Mobile version is designed to move on rails by means of two translation units made of a solid electro-welded steel structure.

On the side of one of the two columns of the machine, the cable reel containing the electric cable is fixed.
The operator controls the cutting functions by means of a push-button panel connected to a console positioned at a safe distance (optional: radio remote control). -

The GMW 02 two-wire machine consists of the combination of a Stationary and a Mobile single-wire machine.
